Frequently Asked Questions
Will I need help from an adult?
Yes , depending on your age and strength, you may need help from an adult.
I followed the instructions but my SpiderBot is not moving forward, what should I do?
This could be for several reasons:
- Because your batteries are not new and/or a little weak.
I therefore invite you to insert new batteries .
- Because the red and black wires are installed backwards.
I invite you to check their connection using the explanations and images in the instructions as well as the online assembly video. (Be careful, make sure that the connection wires do not touch the metal motor otherwise it will short circuit and prevent your SpiderBot from moving forward.)
- Because the orange sockets are too tight and your SpiderBot is not mobile enough.
I therefore invite you to slightly loosen the sockets (there should be a 1mm gap between them and the plates).
- Because the rocker arms are too tight to the plates.
I therefore invite you to slightly loosen the rocker arms (1mm gap).
- Because your rockers and legs are not symmetrical enough on each side.
I therefore invite you to check that your rocker arms are symmetrical on each side and that your exterior and interior legs are at the same level .
- Because the worm gear and the gear are not sufficiently engaged with each other.
I therefore invite you to loosen your worm gear if necessary (which must be inserted 1/3 of the motor rod) and to tighten the bushings of the rod where the gear is located so that it is well engaged with the worm gear .
My SpiderBot is moving too fast and turning around, why?
Check that your rocker arms are symmetrical on each side and that your exterior and interior legs are at the same level .
I'm missing orange sockets for mounting my SpiderBot, what should I do?
Don't worry, you only need 8 orange sockets and not 10 as in your instructions. Just don't put bushings on the bottom front axle of your SpiderBot.
